Help Thousands of Students Learn about ART and Its Process
The ART and Process initiative, created in partnership with the NYC Department of Education and the Broadway Education Alliance (BEA), will provide up to 2,000 NYC public school students—particularly from Title 1 and underserved communities—with free or low-cost tickets to see the Tony Award®–winning play ART on Broadway. In addition to the performance, students will participate in post-show discussions with the cast, director Scott Ellis, and even playwright Yasmina Reza, supported by curriculum-aligned study guides that extend the learning into the classroom.
More than just a typical school trip, ART and Process seeks to reframe the play as an exploration of the creative journey. This includes the discovery, craft, collaboration, and even the “mistakes” that contribute to the final product. By inviting students into the artistic process, the program aims to shed light on and demystify how live theater is created.
